Why Healers are Needed for Depression and Anxiety

Robin Williams' suicide was very sad. But what made me even sadder was how many people I saw commenting online that depression was simply a brain chemistry issue that needed to be "cured" by pharmaceutical drugs. So many people don't realize the power of energy healing and how it can actually affect a deep cure instead of a medical band-aid.

How to Add Variety to Your Reiki Healing

After doing Reiki for a while, you may start feeling almost...well, bored. Reiki healing is so simple, even a child can do it (and probably better than an adult). Sometimes what makes Reiki so easy to do also makes it less "impactful" for the friend or client who expects a bigger bank for their buck. Add some spice and variety to your Reiki healing sessions - you might feel more engaged, and so will your client. Here are a few ideas:

1) Try a different Reiki system than what you usually use.

2) Start the session with a little bit of stretching, yoga, Qi Gong or dance.

Healing With the Angels

If you're feeling tired and down, why not ask the angels of light to heal you? It's easy and free. Angels are God's messengers, healers, and helpers. They are available 24/7 to assist you. They don't ever tire, or get bored with your problems or issues. You don't have to give the angels anything in return - their reward is seeing you healthy and happy.

Adding Qi Gong to Your Reiki Healing

I have recently begun practicing Qi Gong. It is a wonderful way to uplift your energy and keep yourself feeling healthier and more energized. You learn a lot about working with energy when you do Qi Gong. Qi Gong (or Chi Kung) is a Chinese form of gentle exercise that works with the energy field around the body. By doing certain moves, you strengthen the aura and increase chi flow along the meridians.

When the Best Laid Plans Go to Waste...

Back in the fall of 2013, I finally took on the challenge of updating the Elemental Reiki website. The software had not been updated in years. It was not only out-of-date but had security holes. Due to the security holes, spammers had gotten in and took over the blog section of the website. It was impossible to mass delete them without deleting legitimate users (and their order data) as well. The process of updating the software (which included a major upgrade, sort of like going from Windows XP to Windows 8) was challenging. Removing the spammers was quite arduous.
